With festival coverage, filmmaker updates, big budget Hollywood shorts and a new TV show looking to introduce the pleasures of the short-form to a mainstream television audience, September was a busy month for Short of the Week, even before we delve into our film coverage.

Parasites, horses and religion were recurring themes in our eclectic September programming, but the trio of films our team has selected in this 25-min ‘Best of the Month’ playlist include; some impressive world building, an immaculate single-shot short and a family-friendly film with huge potential.
