I’ve developed a an unfortunate habit of writing my posts directly in WordPress, so the last few reviews have gone missing. I don’t feel like rewriting them right now, but at least I can share the links and a short description.

The Butterfly Circus is a remarkable Depression-era period piece, with impressive talent and production levels. Will possesses no arms or legs and is resigned to being mocked as part of a Carnival Sideshow, until he meets the charismatic Mr. Mendez—Ringmaster of The Butterfly Circus. Through his interactions with the circus, Will is challenged to look past his limitations and discover what he’s truly capable of. Schmaltzy heartstring pulling may turn some viewers off, but the short ultimately delivers a strong message in a powerful way. It’s a long film at 20 minutes, but highly recommended.
