Stateside, we don’t take the BAFTA’s nearly as seriously as the British take the Oscars, but it’s a pretty neat award ceremony. Certainly more reputable than the Golden Globes. And in honor of our resident Brits, MarBelle and Ian, today’s Short of the Moment is an early 35mm attempt by Esther May Campbell, whose effort September was declared the winner this past Sunday of the BAFTA for short film.
Delilah is an 11 minute short about the opportunity for revenge. Delilah’s ex-childhood friend walks into her salon one day. The “ex” part is because one day when they were young this friend un-friended her because of her black, Indian hair. Do grudges die? Will she take advantage?
