More Than You Can Chew

A chilling episode from the twilight zone-esque web series, BlackBoxTV.

Blackbox TV, a web series on YouTube with a decidedly Twilight Zone-esque mastery of supernatural suspense, has released their 12th episode titled, More Than You Can Chew. This isn’t your typical no-budget, poorly-acted web series, but one that puts the web series format more on par with primetime television. I haven’t watched all the other episodes. If you find a good one, let us know in the comments.

Andrew makes no attempt to hide his love for the magic art of animation. He appreciates compelling visuals but never forgets that in this modern age, a strong story always reigns supreme. You can see his work at andrewsallen.com or his latest film The Thomas Beale Cipher.

Nice, the director, Dan Trachtenberg is supposedly some sort of web big-shot, but I haven’t heard of him before. Is that bad?

Dan’s a host on The Totally Rad Show, and most of his directorial efforts before this have been in commercial work. Seems like he has knack for storytelling though.

A fine bit of mis-direction across monster genres there.

Hey Andrew, here’s another top-quality, low-budget web series. It was nominated for a bunch of streamys, a couple of years back. I really like this series. Very cool, kind of LOST-ish. Well made… like it could be on TV… but I think it’s been flying a little under the radar.
