Dead All Along

A young boy gets lost on an outing with his family and comes back to find decades have past.

Giles Timms has created this Edward Gore-inspired music video for Ceri Frost. Giles is an MFA student at UCLA with a knack for telling macabre stories through animated collage. His previous work, Manifestations, has made a splash at a number of festivals (Portable Film Festival) and on public television.

Timms shares most of his work and progress on his blog where you can view character sketches, storyboards, and his specific process in creating animated films. It’s an interesting way of showcasing oneself as it illuminates the depth of detail it takes to make a film. I feel like knowing his process would make it much easier for me to engage with him creatively on those many details.
