Our Horror channel has been really quiet in of late, with only 5 new additions in 2018. We’re about to double that count, as starting with yesterday’s pick, Reverse, we’ll be scary daily in the lead up to Halloween. Check back frequently for those new films, but for those who want to binge now, here is a brand new playlist curating some of the best of the S/W back-catalog.

Aside from today’s list, in 2017 we added a pair of horror-themed collections that are worth checking out: the death of the undead master, George Romero, inspired the creation of 9 Great Zombie Shorts, and at this time last year we put together A Truly Scary Short Film Playlist, focused on classically scary shorts that get your heart pumping. This year’s playlist has a slightly different bent however. We want to highlight films that are a bit more in our curatorial wheelhouse, films that are really creepy. These are unsettling stories, some of which are explicitly horror, but also some that aren’t. What they share is the ability to really, truly, unnerve you.

So, here are 8 films picked by our curators here at S/W! Enjoy, and your feedback is welcome as always in the comments below.
