I really enjoy Irwin’s style, I had considered Bows & Arrows for the site in the past, but always found his storytelling to be ill-suited for conventional pieces. The experimental nature of this one really allows him to shine though.

An interesting film and complex piece of work not only to view but to plan and produce. I love flipbooks and Stephen presents us with many. I found I had to focus on one narrative at a time to follow the action but it does repay the investment. Not an easy film though, experimental works like this rarely are. Central St. Martins is a good place to learn the art of animation here in the UK.
